This is a sealed brand new box of the 1992 Impel / Skybox MARVEL UNIVERSE SERIES 3 Trading Cards
This box contains THIRTY SIX (36) packs.
A pack contains TWELVE (12) cards.
So, that means that a full box contains a total of 432 Cards.
Supposedly, the bonus HOLOGRAM Cards were inserted at a ratio of 1:12 packs, so that means in theory you should get four (4) Hologram Cards per 36 pack box.
I would recommend buying unopened boxes and packs from a reputable seller. Often many sellers open up boxes and break open packs to chase the insert cards and once they feel they've beaten the odds, and the remaining packs are "duds" (low to no chance at finding an insert card, such as a hologram chase card) in them, they create these "open boxes" or "lots of packs" - - so, that's why it's crucial if you're seeking the best value and most fair odds, that you purchase only SEALED (Factory Sealed) BOXES to avoid disappointment. Often times these random packs are sold at bargain prices, but you truly often get what you pay for with those types of packs. THIS RIGHT HERE IS SEALED BRAND NEW, UNOPENED, UNTOUCHED exactly as it was originally released and distributed, never opened.
Impel had a big thing going with its Marvel Universe line. For several years in the early 1990s, it was the flagship trading card product that brought together the likes of Spider-Man, the X-Men and Captain America. 1992 Impel Marvel Universe Series 3 continues with the trend of offering a comprehensive base set that's complimented by a handful of holograms.
The base set is large, clocking in at 200 cards. The main design is that of a cosmic theme, with stars and planets highlighting the backgrounds. It breaks down into several subsets such as Super Heroes, Super Villains, Cosmic Beings, Origins and Milestones.
The only inserts in 1992 Impel Marvel Universe Series 3 are five holograms, which are inserted 1:12 packs.
